Big Wolf and Little Wolf — Theater Fadenschein, Braunschweig

Puppet theatre with live music freely adapted from the children's book by Nadine Brun-Cosme and Olivier Tallec for ages 4 and up

Big Wolf had always lived alone, under his tree, high on the hill. Then one day Little Wolf came. He came from far away.

From so far away that Big Wolf at first could only see a dot…

Join us on a journey to the countryside, told with sensory richness and abundant live music. This is a story about meeting, gentle drawing close, being together, the birth of love, longing, courage and friendship.

The book by French author Nadine Brun-Cosme tells us much about friendship and relationships, how they grow and transform us. It shows us many reasons that can make our hearts beat faster: fear, joy, trust and closeness.

What the press says:
"The piece approaches the relationship between the two wolves with care… Kruse's great strength is that he constantly seeks closeness and contact with the audience… And with great devotion and fitting gesture and expression the actor tells the story. Great entertainment for children and adults are his onomatopoetic interjections." Neue Presse Hannover

"Great magic on a small stage… Much of what seems accidental in the performance is actually intensely planned and prepared. Thus puppet master Kruse moves deftly between large scenery and miniature, in professional jargon the second level of play in miniature…" rubs
