Vienna-based band CULK announces their major autumn tour 2026, providing the perfect stage for their highly anticipated new album "Smogstar", released 4 September 2026 on Siluh Records.

With "Smogstar", CULK opens a new sonic chapter: raw, direct, and uncompromising. The band draws inspiration from the sound aesthetic of New York's underground scene in the 1980s: a world between noise, art, and radical expression. Influences from noise-rock pioneers like Sonic Youth and Swirlies meet the urgency of bands like Unwound and are reimagined by contemporary acts such as julie and Blue Smiley.

This "in-your-face" moment defines the new songs as well: less distance, more immediate energy that erupts in dense arrangements and explosive dynamics. The unmistakable voice of frontwoman Sophie Löw remains the emotional centre - intense, vulnerable, and driven by a new sense of urgency.

In September, the band presents their new songs on stage for the first time and embarks on an extensive tour across Germany and Austria. With their new tour, CULK once again prove why they rank among the most exciting acts of the German-language indie scene.
