The songs had to come out. Between the US tour of the rock band and concerts across Europe, Annie Taylor recorded her third album. It's called "Out of Scale" and is driven by intense emotions, chaotic relationships and big dreams.

At times, vocalist Gini Jungi suffers, is wounded and fights; at other moments her voice floats longingly over the guitar runs of Tobias Arn. And when Michael Mutter's bass and Daniel Bachmann's drums kick in, it's clear that each of these new songs can get the audience dancing.
The band is known for their live shows - they met in a bar in the Swiss mountains after snowboarding and have already played SXSW, the iconic radio station KEXP in Seattle, the Levitation Festival in Austin, Great Escape and Reeperbahn Festival.

On "Out of Scale", Annie Taylor has developed their sound even further. Their first album "Sweet Mortality" made the band internationally known seemingly from nowhere. The second, "Inner Smile", was recorded in England; it was rawer, more honest. And now they've sharpened their style once again. Each song sounds different yet inevitably must lead to the next. Distorted guitar and self-empowering angry grunge is followed by repetitive psychedelia - and then a contemplative song, almost calm: somewhere between Courtney Barnett and Wet Leg.

Much of the new music was created in the summer when Zurich was almost empty because everyone had gone on holiday. Vocalist Gini Jungi remembers the taste of sunscreen and salt on her skin. Summer dresses. And endless time for reflection. Sometimes it felt good, when a night unfolded without a plan, in limbo, and she still felt a huge clarity.
