MUSK ON MARS - An Interactive, Interplanetary Courtroom Show with the World's Richest Man — Heimathafen Neukölln, Berlin

Elon Musk has made his dream come true and lands on Mars as the first human. But instead of being able to terraform the planet freely according to his wishes, he must first face a Martian immigration court and answer questions that quickly become very uncomfortable for him.

No matter how hard the Muskonaut sells his boundless and authoritarian notions of freedom as 'liberal': the 'Martian host society' - the audience - carefully examines every newcomer. With the help of Earth tweets, Musk is interrogated about his career to date, accusations from Grünheide and the internet are laid on the table and must be weighed against an extraterrestrial concept of freedom. Armed with pop music, AI fantasies and twisted promises, the intruder tries to defend his claims to power over the supposedly free terrain of Mars.

In the end, the audience renders the verdict: will Elon Musk be granted residency on Mars? And if so - under what conditions?

Both hilarious and bitterly serious, the piece examines notions of freedom from the right and our own capacity for action in postdemocratic times.
