Loriot was a cartoonist, advertising illustrator, costume designer, opera conductor, and the most beloved television comedian of his era. In his drawings and sketches he pushed everyday situations to their breaking point - his characters stumble repeatedly over trivialities, social conventions, and the simplest of conversations.

Silvia Ferstl and Christoph Ackermann offer more than a greatest-hits medley of his most famous sketches. The evening weaves Loriot's life together with his work and the social shifts of his time - from the Iron Cross to an honorary professorship, from his earliest drawings to major box-office hits, from the women's liberation movement to the media revolution.
