Poznan Boys' Choir: the sound of Europe at Christmas

The Poznan Boys' Choir ranks among the most celebrated boys' choirs in Europe, led by composer and conductor Jacek Sykulski. Founded in 1945, the choir has been repeatedly honoured by the Polish Ministry of Education as a National Heritage ensemble. Continuity, tradition and innovation define its artistic and educational work alike, and the choir performs worldwide with both classical and contemporary choral programmes, world premieres and distinguished musical partners.

The young voices present choral music from across Europe in a Christmas setting. Works by Rudolf Mauersberger, Michael Praetorius, Trond Kverno, Ola Gjeilo, Zielenski and choir director Jacek Sykulski reveal the remarkable sonic range of this world-famous ensemble - evoking biting cold, the first snowfall, warmth of heart and the anticipation of Christmas in a way that is mystical, festive and deeply moving.
