Gretchen Parlato Quartet

Grammy-nominated vocalist Gretchen Parlato brings top-tier American vocal jazz to Augsburg - effortless, charming and laced with pop sensibility. This summer she takes new material on its European live debut. The songs grew out of a long-running creative partnership and friendship with composer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Alan Hampton, and will appear on the album "The Wise", due in June 2026.

Parlato is joined by Jacob Mann on piano and drum superstar Mark Guiliana. Her previous album "Flor" earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album.

Fellow US singer Becca Stevens puts it plainly: "When you meet a contemporary singer who is close to jazz - myself included - she is influenced by Gretchen Parlato, whether she knows it or not. She has raised the bar to entirely new heights."
