Holiday Jazz-Band - Open Air - Flens-Jazzfrühschoppen

For just one day, top-tier musicians come together as the Holiday Jazzband to play cheerful Dixieland at Gut Oestergaard during the Flens-Jazzfrühschoppen. This event has been held annually since 2001; organizer Jörg Lempelius continues to enjoy strong attendance.

Bandmember Matthias Constabel has taken over lineup selection this year, stepping into the role previously held by Ulf Schirmer. The musicians know each other from the Traditional Old Merry Tale Jazzband in Hamburg. This year's lineup features Thomas Niemand (trumpet), Jan Carstensen (clarinet, saxophone), Ansgar Adamski (trombone), Enno Dugnus (piano), Joachim Refardt (banjo), Matthias Constabel (bass, tuba), and Nils Conrad (drums).

The brunch takes place on the lawn between the barns; if weather forecasts are poor, it moves indoors to the spacious Kulturscheune. Catering is provided by the Gut Oestergaard team, event chef Manfred Weinmann, and the Flensburg Lions Club.
