AR AN TALAMH

Ar an Talamh is one of the most compelling and established acts on the contemporary Italian Celtic folk scene. Founded by singer and multi-instrumentalist Caterina Sangineto - daughter of renowned harp maker Michele Sangineto - the group now performs as a quartet of musicians with deep international experience.

With a repertoire drawing on Irish, Scottish and Breton music, Ar an Talamh delivers concerts that are captivating, refined and accessible in equal measure.

The band's name - Ar an Talamh - means "On the Earth" in Irish Gaelic, and it sums up their artistic vision: a deep rootedness in Celtic traditions, reinterpreted with contemporary sensibility, creativity and a distinctive sound. Their set ranges from moving vocal ballads to rhythmic, high-energy instrumental pieces, enriched by original compositions that reflect modern and multicultural influences.
