Germany's most renowned prison doctor and Tatort star Joe Bausch takes the stage with insights and previously unpublished stories from over three decades behind the bars of high-security prisons. This time, he goes a step further than usual.

He takes his audience into the depths of human depravity: contract killers, sadistic couples, ruthless murderers - psychopaths, narcissists, serious criminals. Yet the evening also reveals previously closed chapters: times when Bausch himself was a victim of violence and humiliation - as he first disclosed in his Spiegel bestseller "Crazy Blood".

Television audiences know him as forensic pathologist Dr. Joseph Roth in Tatort. For over 30 years he worked as a doctor in the high-security prison Werl; in his books "Knast", "Gangsterblues" and "Maxima Culpa" he describes a world that remains unimaginable to most of us.

On stage, Joe Bausch speaks together with true crime expert Dr. Tino Grosche about encounters with evil, moments between life and death - and about his own story.
