GTD Comedy Slam - Germany's Largest Stand-Up Competition

Every month, host and founder Andy Sauerwein presents the most promising newcomers and experienced comedians competing to qualify for the December finals. At least four comedians take part in a ruthless competition each month. Each participant has a maximum of 15 minutes to demonstrate their talent and must strictly follow the rules: no reading from paper, only original jokes, and maximum humor. Anyone who breaks the rules is disqualified. At the end of the evening, the audience votes for the winner. Every winner receives a beautiful trophy - sometimes of surprising character, as they come from internet classifieds.

At the end of the year, the finals take place in Augsburg! After two semi-finals on October 24 and November 28, the winners compete in the year-end final, and the audience votes for the Augsburg champion. The winner qualifies for the Southern German GTD Championship and the Federal Finals 2026.

Gag Test Dummies organizes GTD Comedy Slam in over 10 cities. Annually, more than 100 comedians participate, with a nationwide winner crowned at the end.
