Between 2004 and 2013, Rosenau ran an annual festival called "Wiener Woche" together with Theater Rampe, Theaterhaus, Literaturhaus and Laboratorium. The concept was simple: spend a week looking towards Vienna and Austria, bringing cabaret artists, writers, authors and theatre productions to Stuttgart. The "Wiener Blut" series now picks up that thread. Over the course of the year, various Austrian cabaret performers will present their programmes at Rosenau - social, political and interpersonal themes delivered with cabaret wit, a sharper edge, more irony, more perversity and often more poetry than you'd expect from their German counterparts.
