J.S. Bach: H-moll-Messe

Bach's Mass in B minor comes to Erlangen on Sunday, 11 October 2026 at 5 p.m., performed by soloists and the Kantorei St. Matthäus under the direction of Susanne Hartwich-Düfel at Evang.-Luth. Kirchengemeinde St. Matthäus. This is one of two German dates for the conductor. The work stands among the most significant choral compositions in music history, its refined contrapuntal language unmatched to this day. The soloists are Franziska Bobe (soprano), Isabel Grübl (alto), Sergei Nikolaev (tenor), and Anton Weinmann (bass), joined by members of the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg. Admission: €14.30.
