Cheeky, punky, infectiously funky, and honestly fragile. Frollein Smilla sounds brash, flattering, poetic-political, and at times darkly cynical - yet always danceable. The band moves between German punk, English indie-pop, and Spanish dreams, defying easy categorisation both musically and lyrically.

The lineup features a female lead vocalist, piano, synths, guitars, drums, a brass section, and backing vocals - drawing on a wide instrumental palette. With nearly 60 concerts a year, the Freiburger Leiter newcomer award, and three albums under their belt - Golden Future, Freak Cabaret, and Great Disaster - Frollein Smilla brings serious stage experience. Their fourth album, KEEP SMILING, followed in 2024.
