True Crime with Prof. Dr. Klaus Püschel
Stadttheater Heide, Germany
35 €
Forensic pathologist Prof. Dr. Klaus Püschel takes the stage on 18 November 2026 to mark his 50-year career anniversary, sharing exclusive insights into his most remarkable cases and the world of forensic medicine.
For decades, the former head of Hamburg's Institute of Legal Medicine has been regarded as one of Germany's most prominent forensic experts. He has been involved in a string of high-profile investigations: he performed the autopsy on politician Uwe Barschel, examined the severe injuries inflicted on a three-year-old girl in the harrowing Yagmur case, and contributed to the retrial of the so-called "bathtub case" involving Manfred Genditzki, who was ultimately acquitted after serving more than 13 years for a crime he did not commit. He also served as an expert witness in the Kachelmann trial, examined the body of the Reemtsma kidnapper, and worked in Kosovo, Egypt, and Syria. Püschel recounts extraordinary cases from his career.
The audience will get a close-up look at how crime scenes are reconstructed, causes of death determined, and perpetrators identified. This True Crime special covers serial murders, sexual offences, cold cases, and wrongful convictions - with tension running throughout. The evening is hosted by True Crime presenter Dr. Tino Grosche.
Expect a gripping night at the intersection of science and true crime, filled with compelling stories, moving human fates, and a hard look at the search for truth.
