The programme takes audiences into an enchanted forest during the Crusades, outside the gates of Jerusalem - filled with hunters, nightingales and ghostly creatures. Geminiani's ballet music "La Foresta Incantata" is woven together with arias and duets from various works by Handel.

In Halle, Handel's birthplace, Julien Chauvin and the ensemble Le Concert de la Loge perform a programme that brings together Baroque music across different genres.
