Max Prosa

Max Prosa is a storyteller. Hearing him alone with a guitar or at the piano is to experience that in its purest form. His songs and poems move you, get under your skin, bring difficult subjects into the light, stir things up - and sometimes leave you with questions in your heart, yet always with a sense of comfort.

For years Max Prosa has worked steadily on his lyrics and songs, performing concerts and reading his poetry. The poems are now collected in his new volume "Als wir ein Sternbild waren", whose first print run sold out almost immediately. At his concerts, the audience becomes a community. A kind of bell forms around them, stretching space and time. Max tells of mothers and sons, kings and thieves, and of course the great themes of chanson: transience, passion and love - always in his own way, always straight to the heart.
