Rokko Weissensee & Blend - Apokalypse in F (but danceable)

Rokko W. is the greatest enigma of mankind since the magnetic pole shift - and he's taking it on tour. Raised as the (now disinherited) crown prince of a scrap metal trading syndicate deep in northeast Berlin, he brings to the stage the kind of myth you'd otherwise only find in poorly lit archives.

Together with his companion and accomplice BLEND, Rokko W. serves up a sound somewhere between brass, the end of days, and ruin: he loves brass instruments and is considered the spiritual father of the modern tuba - ventil technique included. Experts know it as the "Basstuba in F" (five valves). Rokko calls it, consistently: "Apokalypse in F".

He left school in fourth grade - allegedly fleeing creditors over enormous gambling debts. Today Rokko Weissensee is regarded as the greatest impostor east of the Orinoco and holds the Helena Blavatsky Prize for lived fiction.

Bottom line: anyone who misses Rokko W. & BLEND live will have nothing to talk about afterwards - except that they "kind of meant to go".
