The World in the Mirror

How do we encounter the world - and what does it reflect back to us?
SPIEGEL I is conceived as a triptych, unfolding across three distinct perspectives.

The evening opens with harpsichord concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach: from the interplay of musicians emerges a lively exchange - from duo to larger ensembles, a mirror of reaction and spontaneity.

In the second part, music enters into direct dialogue with visual art. Jérémie Queyras responds to what unfolds on stage, capturing the fleeting moment in an image taking shape before the audience. With the mondëna quartet and original compositions.

The third part reflects on the experience through the Jazz Combo of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, opening the space for new sonic perspectives - accompanied by culinary highlights.
