B.B. & The Blues Shacks Heimspiel - support: The Downhome Percolators

Two days of full programme celebrating the blues. B.B. & The Blues Shacks invite you to their traditional "Heimspiel". This time again strengthened by some of Germany's finest blues artists. Hildesheim's world-class band presents itself in full force with the rich sound of the 50s and 60s. The current album "Blues Is A Stew" is already a classic today and has been showered with praise.

The BBs love their music and play blues with such mastery that even Americans now tip their hats to this German band. With their blend of rhythm & blues and a touch of "sixties soul", they have won fans across the globe.

At the Heimspiel, a cross-section of a creative period now spanning 37 years awaits. The opening programme on both days is also impressive. The finest acoustic blues from the best.

On Friday, the Downhome Percolators with Klaus "Mojo" Kilian and Bernd Simon come to provide support. Both are well known in Hildesheim and very popular.
Together they present traditional blues from the 20s to 50s - with authentic sound, but in their own interpretations, with respect for tradition, yet always captivating and with unbridled joy in playing.

On Saturday, one of Germany's finest entertainers takes the stage. Henry Heggen! And about his partner Blues Rudy, there's not much more to say. The duo is something special, because together they create a musical fireworks display and captivate with musicality and humanity. Anyone who stays home then has probably just fallen asleep in front of the TV.
