B.B. & The Blues Shacks Heimspiel - support: Henry Heggen & Blues Rudy

Two days of full-on blues programming. B.B. & The Blues Shacks invite you to their traditional "Heimspiel" - a home-game celebration. This time, reinforced by some of Germany's finest blues artists. Hildesheim's world-class band takes the stage in full force, delivering the fat sound of the 1950s and 1960s. Their current album "Blues Is A Stew" is already a classic, showered with acclaim.

The BBs love their music and play blues with such mastery that even Americans now tip their hats to this German ensemble. With their blend of Rhythm & Blues and a touch of "Sixties Soul," they've built a devoted fanbase across the globe.

The Heimspiel offers a cross-section spanning 37 years of creative output. The supporting programme over both nights is equally impressive. The finest acoustic blues from the best.

On Friday, Downhome Perculators featuring Klaus "Mojo" Kilian and Bernd Simon take the stage. These two are well-known and beloved in Hildesheim.
Together they present traditional blues from the 1920s through 1950s - with authentic sound but in their own interpretations, respectful of tradition yet always captivating and bursting with unbridled joy.
On Saturday, one of Germany's greatest entertainers takes the honour. Henry Heggen! And about his partner Blues Rudy, little needs to be said. This duo is something truly special - together they ignite a musical fireworks display, enchanting audiences with musicality and humanity.
