Rolf Miller - Ich sag nix — LOKschuppen, Simbach

No one says "nothing" quite as beautifully as Rolf Miller. The press calls it "a golden hour of stammering and stuttering"... over which you must laugh continuously, and that's precisely why you don't immediately notice the abysses Miller conceals beneath...

Always indirect, always incidental, almost detached - this magnificent satirist dumps the meaningless void of our existence upon us with a brutal feel for atmosphere. Don't live your life, dream your dream, because the goal stands in your way. -Uh, ha!? - Exactly. Miller shows you the dream of your goals.

But does "ICH SAG NIX" perhaps also stand for "can you still say anything?" - "When women quarrel, the devil sits in the corner and learns." Can you laugh about that? Or is it being censored by 3Sat, Pro7, etc., out of political hypercorrectness, because the fun police there no longer understand satire due to intellectual mutilation? The critic from the moose has become one himself? Plus the very quick offence-taking of individual groups when they themselves become the target of the punchline. Please always just the others, right? Or is Miller himself too cowardly and dodging, preferring to say nothing voluntarily?

No: Rolf Miller couldn't care less. On the contrary, everyone has the right to be insulted, mocked, and beaten. It's a matter of style how these mean tricks that sweeten our lives are served. We forgive Miller the poison; he can't help it. It stays black, it stays evil. The HOW is decisive, not the WHAT. The disgust continues. If you have problems with the following sentences, you'd better not come to Miller's show: family planning is always hostage-taking and extortion in one / When BMI is higher than IQ / No means no, but yes means yes / What was the mood in East Germany: it kept itself within bounds / Not every Arab is a terrorist, but every terrorist is an Arab / Sperm donors.

So maybe we'll see each other
