With their latest production, the young performance group AROUND IRISHDANCE shows just how modern, visually striking and emotionally resonant Irish Dance can be today. The blend of film, live music and breathtaking choreography turns the evening into a multimedia show that appeals to families with children and dedicated Irish folk fans alike.

At the heart of the show is a compelling story about finding your way to Irish Dance - and the highs and lows that come with it. A specially produced, cinematic-quality film follows the protagonist through doubt, setbacks and victories both small and large, while the stage simultaneously becomes the living continuation of her journey. The young dancers weave traditional steps together with fresh ideas, youthful energy and live music.

The staging itself plays a key role: precisely timed effects locked to the beat and atmospheric projections give each scene its own visual world. At one moment the dancers seem to emerge from a sea of green; the next, sharp bursts of light throw the rapid Irish Dance formations into spectacular relief.
