IC FALKENBERG - UNTERSTRICHEN

IC FALKENBERG brings new songs alongside hits like "Dein Herz", "Mann im Mond", "Eine Nacht" and "Wunderland" - plus tracks that have been absent from his setlists for years. Many of them come with stories he shares from the stage.

IC FALKENBERG has been performing since the age of ten. In the 1980s he was the singer, composer and lyricist of Stern Meissen, steering the band through the most successful chapter of its history. By the mid-80s, under the stage name IC FALKENBERG, he had become one of the most popular solo artists in East Germany - his first two solo albums each sold over 250,000 copies. More than 50 years on stage and 29 albums have followed since.

He is joined by Ilka Griesser (cello), Katharina von Koch (violin) and Silke Schmidt (viola). Griesser, a state-certified violin maker and graduate of the Hochschule der Künste Berlin, has worked as a freelance cellist since 2022. Von Koch studied music and musicology/journalism in Leipzig and has played with the Jugendsinfonieorchester Sachsen-Anhalt as well as academic orchestras in Halle and Leipzig. Schmidt began violin lessons at five and discovered the viola while studying cultural management in Passau; she is now active in chamber ensembles, orchestras and cross-genre projects.
