VANJA SKY is Croatia's answer to Sheryl Crow and Norah Jones. An artistic career can hardly develop faster. Five years after learning to play guitar, Vanja recorded her debut album with renowned artists from the international blues scene. Following "Woman Named Trouble" came her next album. Now it is time for the release of her brand new album "reborn".

Vanja Sky absorbed the influences of Rory Gallagher, Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan and builds a bridge from the old guard of blues traditionalists to a younger audience. In doing so, she hardly falls short of the stars of the current classic-retro-rock scene. She convinces with her poignant original compositions, which stand on par with the hits of today's genre giants. With a vintage sound from the eighties reminiscent of Joan Jett, Vanja sings her songs with the same sharpness and dedication as Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders, but when necessary, also with the required edge.

Vanja Sky is a frequently booked act in front of thousands of visitors at major international festivals such as Rother Blues Days, Vallemaggia Magic Blues Festival, Fehmarn Festival, Moulin Blues Festival and the Rory Gallagher Tribute Festival.
