Sameach - dance of words, sound of songs

"Sameach" is an evening of Israeli dances and Yiddish, Hebrew, and Sephardic songs. The Leipzig dance ensemble Sameach and the music ensemble The String Company shape the programme together - traditional forms meet contemporary choreographies and musical arrangements spanning klezmer, world music, folk, and chanson.

The evening opens with the documentary film "Anne Frank - Eine lebendige Geschichte" by Horst Edler. The director will be present and invites the audience to a conversation afterwards.
