OIMARA (Bavarian for "Almerer") - the bard from Tegernsee
This mountain lad has long since made his way down to the valleys, winning fans among festival crowds and foodies alike - celebrated as "Zebro" or "dialect umami". As a modern Gstanzler, Bavarian rockstar, improviser and singer-songwriter, no genre is too strange for him.
He spent his childhood "virtuously" on the family Hafner-Alm and was practically forced into live sessions by sheer musical talent. The "favourite fool" from Tegernsee - after enough schnitzel-pounding experience and a shortened boarding-school trip - completed his apprenticeship as a cook in Mallorca at age 16. His creatively rebellious spirit and the song "Bierle in da Sun" turned him into a celebrated all-rounder on the inter-national music scene.
Relaxed guitar sounds in the vein of John Mayer and driving stompbox beats meet near-Valentinesque wordplay and a roguish wit that calls to mind a youthful, extremely cool version of Fredl Fesl. Carried by the energy of the crowd, Hafner Beni (as his passport reads) follows his seventh sense and sings about whatever life and world affairs put in front of him.
"Zebrastreifenpferd" meets "Busheislparty", and "Cocktailschirm im Arsch" is followed by "Wackelkontakt". "Es duad ma leid Mama" - but there are no requests here.
