Reindeer nibble the last fly agarics before fleeing the approaching cold, a group of nomads ahead of them. On their way to the winter camp, they set out on one final great hunt... Children are born, others die, the Venus of Willendorf is created. But does she really depict a goddess? Or was she a shaman's tool - an avatar for journeying through spirit worlds, the kind that survive to this day in myths and fairy tales?

Ulli Lust guides us through millennia of female agency and human creative power, tracing a mythic continuum in which we keep finding new reflections of ourselves in our search for meaning.
