The King and Queen have finally had a child! They are preparing a grand christening celebration for their little princess. But one of the fairies is not invited and takes revenge with an evil prophecy: on her sixteenth birthday, Rosie will prick herself on a poisoned spindle and fall into a hundred-year sleep.

A hundred years later, we meet the great-grandson of the prince to whom Sleeping Beauty was once betrothed, and we encounter the evil fairy again - now as a modern businesswoman. And the world has become rather strange in the meantime. Cars drive without drivers, people hold tiny black boxes to their ears or in front of their noses, cut holes in their trousers, and tattoo themselves like pirates… Will it work out between the modern prince and Sleeping Beauty, who finally awakens with a kiss?
