Eleven years ago, Alma was given up for adoption under mysterious circumstances - with the condition that the identity of her biological parents must never be revealed. When Alma falls critically ill and desperately needs a bone marrow transplant, her mother Olivia sets out to find her biological parents - unaware of the dark secrets that await her.

She discovers the legend of the "Calendar Girl": a young woman who withdrew to a remote cottage during the Christmas season years ago and was haunted by a psychopath who forced her to open an advent calendar of horrors.

Olivia realizes she must travel to this traumatized town, enter that cottage, and find the psychopath - to save her daughter.
