Soul and Blues — Frank Loebsches Haus, Landau

Acclaimed album releases, countless radio and TV appearances, live shows alongside jazz star Jamie Cullum and British TV legend Jools Holland, enthusiastic press coverage and more than 500 concerts - San2 can look back on all of this over the last 10 years of his now internationally successful career.

He returns not only with a new studio album but also with an acoustic live & unplugged programme. For the occasion he brings two real talents:

Sebastian Schwarzenberger ranks among the top blues guitarists in southern Germany. He excels on a wide range of instruments - acoustic guitar, dobro, lap steel or mandolin - with a playing style that is powerful and full of energy. He has shared the stage with San2 for many years.

For this particular evening, San2 invites a true master of the Hammond organ: Hansi Enzensperger, known for his Organ Explosion project and his new venture Hattori Hanzi, joins the well-rehearsed blues duo with unbridled passion and a love of experimentation.

Full of wit and charm, San2 guides the audience through a rich and varied programme, while Schwarzenberger and Enzensperger trade musical ideas with apparent ease. San2 regularly sets off fireworks on the blues harp. For the audience, the highlights are the impressive solos and San2's distinctive voice, which always seems to float just above everything else.

Press reviews

Süddeutsche Zeitung, 2023

Soul singer San2 recorded his new album live in front of an audience - with no rhythm section at all. The result is outstanding and witty. Everything is played brilliantly once again, garnished with virtuoso blues harp passages and a few jokes from the seasoned entertainer San2. Soul and songwriter pop - San2's true home ground - are naturally well represented too.
