Psycho Royal
A ray of light in turbulent times: Swabia's funniest psychologist and self-proclaimed queen of psychiatry climbs to the next level, crowning herself Psycho Royal. She's already broken that much-discussed tooth from her crown - so there's nothing left to lose. Except perhaps her composure. Or her patience. Or both at once. In Psycho Royal, chaos reigns between politics, society, and a perfectly normal inner state of emergency. Kathi deconstructs the zeitgeist, navigates her own highs and crashes, and takes the audience with her into her world, viewed through a psychologist's lens. Between feminism and longing for peace, destigmatization and escapism, self-presentation and the search for meaning, Kathi moves with her established blend of political cabaret, stand-up comedy, and music, cutting sharply through the neuroses of our time. Psycho Royal is not a classical stage programme - it's an invitation to collective self-diagnosis. A humorous therapy session without an insurance card, but with guaranteed laughter and surprising moments of insight. Or, in Kathi's words: in the end, we're all a bit psycho - the question is just how royally we handle it.
Kathi has been performing on Germany's small-venue stages for over ten years and regularly appears on television as a member of the ensemble "Asül für alle". As a trained actress, she also regularly appears on camera - and with great pleasure hosts events, galas, film festivals, and anything else that doesn't hide behind the curtain in time. Her psychology degree served not only as an elegant way to bridge the wait for a therapist's appointment, but continues to reliably supply her programmes with fresh material - quasi fieldwork from the open heart.
