QUIDAM FAUST - Why - Where

A certain Mr. Faust, a scientist, despairs at the limits of human knowledge. The mystery of what holds the world and universe together refuses to reveal itself to him. On the brink of burnout, his alter ego appears to him in the form of a certain Mr. Mephisto. This figure is to grant him access to the pleasures of existence, so he might find new meaning in life. During Faust's ego trip, the model of a "world machine" in his laboratory transforms into a virtual "wish machine" of his dreams. Starring Martina Göpel and Andreas Weiner.

WHY - WHERE
In the "Urfaust", Goethe laid the most important foundations for his universal world poem, which he only completed after sixty years. Although originally not intended for the stage and although countless interpretations of "Faust" have emerged since its publication, often contradicting one another, "Faust" has secured a lasting place as a theatrical work of art.
