In search of the ideal world - Beethoven, Schiller and the European idea. Through fragments and visual scenes, composer and poet approach a vision of freedom and equality that finds its projection surface in Beethoven's music - a canvas for the pursuit of European identity. A visual journey through European history, combined with glimpses into the biographies of Ludwig van Beethoven and Friedrich von Schiller, weaves together with excerpts from Beethoven's 9th Symphony into a theatrical diorama.
