About the venue: Lichtburg

The Lichtburg in Essen is one of the largest and most historically significant cinema palaces in Germany, opened in 1928. Its grand auditorium seats around 1,250 people and regularly hosts film premieres, galas and special screenings alongside its regular programme. The ornate interior has been carefully preserved, making it a landmark of early 20th-century cinema architecture.
