GHOST - Message from Sam - The Musical - Premiere

New York, early 1990s: Sam Wheat and Molly Jensen are a young, in-love couple who have just moved into their shared loft. Sam works as a banker, Molly as an artist. Then a brutal assault tears Sam from life - and a love story becomes a journey between two worlds.

Sam awakens as a ghost, invisible to everyone he loves. When he realizes his death was no accident but the result of betrayal, he wants to warn Molly - yet she can neither hear nor see him. He finds his way to her through Oda Mae Brown, a self-proclaimed spiritualist and life coach who is actually a con artist, but to her own shock genuinely hears Sam's voice. An unusual, humorous friendship forms between them. On his journey, Sam also encounters other ghosts who help him understand his new abilities.

The musical is based on the Paramount Pictures film with a screenplay by Bruce Joel Rubin, who also wrote the libretto and song lyrics for the musical. The music and lyrics were created by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, with the German adaptation by Anja Hauptmann.
