Crossjack Shanty Singers - authentic shanties with passion and tradition

Founded in 2005, the eight singers of Crossjack Shanty Singers have dedicated themselves to keeping the tradition of authentic shanties alive. The name "Crossjack" - the mizzen topsail of a sailing ship - reflects their guiding principle: hold the course, no matter how hard the wind blows.

With a repertoire of over 120 songs, they take audiences on a musical journey into the world of seafaring, hard labour, and shipboard camaraderie. Alongside regional and national performances, the group also appears internationally, working to preserve and share the rich culture and history of the shanty tradition.
