Abandoned Places - Schultheiss Factory - The Schultheiss Malting House at Südgelände

The buildings of the former Schultheiss brewery still shape Berlin's cityscape - including the malting factory near Südkreuz station, right alongside the "Dresdener Bahn" railway line.

The main building remains largely unused, and its original fittings are mostly intact, making it easy to understand how a malting house operated from the 1920s through to the 1990s.

The site has been developed as an event venue and features generous open-air spaces.
