Abandoned Places - Schultheiss Factory - The Schultheiss Malting House at Südgelände

The buildings of the former Schultheiss brewery still shape Berlin's cityscape today. This includes their malting house near Südkreuz station, located right alongside the "Dresdener Bahn" railway line.

The site offers a window into industrial culture from the 1920s through the 1990s. The main building remains unused to this day, and because the original fittings are largely intact, visitors can see exactly how a malting house once operated.

The malting house grounds have been developed as an event venue and offer plenty of open outdoor space.
