Freiburger Puppenbühne - Kasper's Search for the Red Diamond
Kur- und Festspielhaus Badenweiler, Germany

Long ago, when kings still ruled, there was no such thing as banking secrecy: at the annual Treasure Chest Festival, the king would display the entire royal treasury to his people. And no empty coffers here - the chest was full, and that called for a celebration!
There was plenty to organise, so Court Marshal Zitterbein was given the tricky task of guarding his master's treasure chest.
But just as the festivities got underway, a red gemstone of priceless value suddenly vanished! The diamond is gone - the celebration in jeopardy! Who stole the diamond...?
Luckily, Kasper and his clever dog Bello team up to solve the mystery together with the children in the audience...
"The Search for the Red Diamond" is a suspenseful, mysterious story that speaks directly to children through vivid imagery and a clear plot - one that will stay with them long after the curtain falls. Adults are sure to enjoy it too! Dr. Johannes and Karin Minuth are celebrated far beyond Freiburg for their enchanting puppet theatre.
They write their own scripts and design and craft all the imaginative puppets themselves. Johannes Minuth even completed his doctorate on his favourite subject: "The Kasper Theatre and its History".
No one else manages quite like the "Kasper Doctor" to simultaneously bring several puppets to life, arrange lighting effects, change the set and voice different characters. "Kasper's Search for the Red Diamond" was supported by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport.
