The book
Sebastian Fitzek, born in 1971, is Germany's best-selling author. Since his debut "Die Therapie" (2006), every one of his novels has reached number one on the Spiegel bestseller list. His books have sold 20 million copies, been translated into 36 languages, and served as the basis for international film and theatre adaptations. Fitzek was the first German author to receive the European Award for Crime Literature. "Der Nachbar" was published in late 2025 and has been a runaway success ever since.
The director
Josef Ulbig is an audio drama director and writer. He has been with the Lauscherlounge group since 2014, leading its creative processes. His debut audio drama "Kleiner Drei" (featuring Max Riemelt, among others) was produced exclusively for Lauscherlounge in 2019. Since 2017 he has directed a range of audio dramas for children and adults, including Andreas Gruber's "Todesfrist".
