On 5 October 2025, the theatre hall of Augustinum Heidelberg turned into a rock venue for the first time - courtesy of the energetic band Caravel, who now return to this stage for a second time.

The young five-piece formed in 2021 at the Popakademie Mannheim and champions a contemporary renaissance of rock music. The band takes its name from the caravel - the sailing ships that carried Christopher Columbus to America. Like those vessels, Caravel stands for innovation, persistence and adaptability. Just as the caravels set out from the Old World into the New, the band charts its own musical course on the sea of rock - blending the style of its 1970s heroes (Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin) with modern influences.

In keeping with the anniversary motto "50 Jahre VIELSTIMMIG", Caravel returns to the Augustinum stage - welcoming old fans and new alike! After the roughly one-hour concert, the audience is invited for drinks at the foyer bar!
