Opening Concert: Marking 300 Years since the Death of Elector Max Emanuel

The Residenzwoche opens with a festive concert evening featuring music by two leading composers at the court of Elector Max Emanuel: Agostino Steffani and Pietro Torri. The highlight of the programme is the Munich premiere - after more than 300 years - of Marc-Antoine Charpentier's dedicatory work for the Bavarian elector, L'Epithalamio.

The evening also marks the 10th anniversary of Concerto München, celebrating a decade of baroque discovery in the grand surroundings of the Münchner Residenz.
