Thorbjörn Risager & The Black Tornado

Thorbjörn Risager & The Black Tornado are widely regarded as Denmark's foremost roots-rock act - a reputation cemented by their ninth studio album "House of Sticks" (released January 2025, Provogue/Mascot Label Group). For over twenty years the band has played stages around the world, blending soul, Chicago blues, boogie and rock'n'roll into a sound anchored by Risager's voice - somewhere between Ray Charles, Van Morrison and Billy Gibbons.

The award-winning septet has built a devoted following and earned the respect of peers: they've opened for Bonnie Raitt and Tedeschi Trucks Band, Risager has shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Doyle Bramhall II and Robben Ford, and Dan Aykroyd counts himself a fan.

Following the release tour for "House of Sticks", Thorbjörn Risager & The Black Tornado hit the road again in 2026.
