Andrea Berg is a true phenomenon of German popular music. Born in Krefeld, she launched her career in 1992 with the album "Du bist frei". Since then she has sold more than 16 million records and set a string of remarkable milestones: 14 number-one albums, well over 1,000 weeks in the German album charts - including 350 weeks for her "Best Of" alone (in Austria that same album spent an astonishing 670 weeks in the charts). "Du hast mich tausendmal belogen" has ranked in the GEMA Top 10 of the most-performed live titles of the year for years running, and was the best-selling Schlager single in German download stores for several consecutive years. In total, Andrea Berg has received more than 100 gold and platinum awards, eight ECHOs, eight Goldene Stimmgabeln, and numerous other media prizes (Bambi, Eins der Besten, Goldene Henne, Bild-Osgar, Krone der Volksmusik).
