Mozart - Concert with Duo Sorella
Schloss Dillingen, Germany
17.5 €
As part of this year's "Mozart between the Danube and Ries" event series, celebrating the 270th birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Kulturring Dillingen e.V. contributes to the region's jubilee programme with a special concert evening.
On Sunday, 4 October 2026, at 17:00, six sonatas will resound in the historic ceremonial hall of Dillingen Castle - works Mozart composed at just ten years old. These pieces were created during the joint concert tour of the young prodigy with his sister Maria Anna ("Nannerl") and his father Leopold Mozart. Even in his youth, Mozart impressed European courts with his extraordinary talent.
A special historical connection makes this concert significant for Dillingen as well: Mozart himself is said to have performed these sonatas for the archbishop in the ceremonial hall of Dillingen Castle during a visit to the town. Thus the concert evening connects to the city not only musically but also historically.
The works will be performed by Duo Sorella in the instrumentation of violin and harpsichord or piano. The two musicians - Lena Bröning and Minthe Sophie Hartmann - are united by many years of artistic collaboration and friendship. Important impulses for their work as a duo came from Prof. Franz Vorraber and Prof. Johannes Möller at the Wiesbaden Academy of Music.
The evening is hosted by Dillingen musician Marcus Bernard Hartmann. Through expert moderation, historical context, and entertaining anecdotes about Mozart's early sonatas, he will provide the audience with additional insights into the creation, background, and special features of these works.
The concert evening thus promises not only a high-calibre musical experience but also a vivid encounter with the young Mozart - at a place that was already a stage for his music during his lifetime.
