How does happiness arise in the body? Why can't it be held onto permanently - and why is it so fundamental to our lives? The KÖRPERWELTEN Museum in Heidelberg explores these questions through real anatomical specimens.

The exhibition reveals which structures are involved in generating the feeling of happiness, how organ functions relate to emotions, and how both positive and negative experiences affect the entire body. Everything we experience, feel, and do with our bodies - or fail to do - eventually leaves its mark.
