Farmer Erwin is down in the dumps. For years he has been searching for the right woman, without success. It's time to get serious - his best years are nearly behind him and the work on the farm isn't getting any lighter. His best friend, innkeeper Alfons, doesn't understand the problem: he's still floating on cloud nine with his Rita. Still, he backs Erwin up and coaches him in the art of meeting women: lonely-hearts ads, speed dating, macho posturing and video applications all make it onto the curriculum.
