Komische Nacht is one of Germany's most successful live comedy formats. The concept is straightforward: at each venue on a single evening, up to 5 comedians and cabaret performers take the stage - each performing for roughly 20 minutes. The artists then move on to the next stage while the audience stays put. You buy a ticket to your favorite venue and enjoy several acts in succession.

The venues are as diverse as the performances themselves: restaurants, cultural centers, pubs, cocktail bars - the same principle applies everywhere. Between sets there is plenty of time for eating, drinking, and conversation.

Komische Nacht takes place regularly in over 40 German cities, including Bielefeld, Frankfurt, Hannover, Kassel, Lübeck, Münster, and Oldenburg. The first edition was held in 2008 in Oldenburg.
