EMIL and the PELICAN MAN // Musical Theatre for Children Aged 8-12

Emil seems to be the only one who notices that Mr. Mietling is someone special. The man in eccentric clothing is actually a pelican who wants to live like a human because his homeland is falling victim to environmental pollution - and because he loves to sing! His mother takes no interest in Emil's discovery; she is a single parent and often exhausted from work. Between the boy and the bird in human clothing, a wonderful friendship develops, and together they discover the world - until the adults realize that something is not right with Mr. Mietling.

A theatrical production by Teresa Reiber in cooperation with Schlossplatztheater, supported by the District Office Treptow-Köpenick in Berlin, Cultural Department as part of the KiA programme - a programme to promote children's, youth and puppet theatre and artists in the field of performing arts for young audiences.
